Transmission questions
Ok here comes some questions and info.
I have a 1985 firebird, with vin# has it as a v6 but its been swapped for a 350TBI. What is the trans#?(4 speed automatic)
What were the 3speed automatic transmissions available and what years/models?
How is the bar that connects the trans to the rearend attached?(Havent gotten up under the new car cause I forgot to have anyone leave me a jack)

Your 4 speed is probably a 700R4. The only 3 speed automatic was the TH200C available in 82 and 83 I believe.
The end of the torque arm is in a rubber bushing inside a bracket bolted to the tailshaft housing of the transmission.
