I just bought a 1984 trans am with a 5 speed. From the research I have done I believe it is a series 3 carrier.

Am I correct?

What rear gears does it have? 3.23 and higher usually had a 3 series. I think mine (3.23) had a 2 series. Best way to check it to pop the cover and look, although, I couldn't tell a 2 series from 3 series if they were sitting next to each other on a table...
