Grr! Tranny lines leaking!
Well, I found the leak. I had to take off the pass tire and stick my head in there with a flashlight to see where it was leaking. At first, I found that I had dipstick in wrong and i broke the seal. I got a new one, and put dip in right location (behind the motor, not on side of headers).
The lines are leaking from the center of the brass fitting. The lines are in the tranny tight, but I guess they are not sealing. What can cause this besides broken or non tight fittings? Is it possible that the external cooler is creating a blockage that would cause the fluid to come out of the fittings?
I'm open to any ideas. I didnt pull the lines off yet, will do that l8r, i need to get stubby wrenches frist.
The pressures read 90psi at idle, 120psi when reved a bit and fall to 60psi as the fluid leaves the tranny. I'm not getting instant pressure rise, probably cause of the leak, so gotta fix that first.
The lines I have are from Bowtie Overdrives, they are SS tube with a flared end and a brass fitting.
