preparing a junk yard tranny

Well i think i posted before my tranny died and now i got the money to get a new one before i put it in what should i do to it to make it last longer and perform better?? btw its a 700r4 from the junk yard out of a 92 bird.

If it were me, I would put a new front and rear seal in it. Chenge the fluid and filter and replace the dipstick and tv cable rubber seals on the trans. Drive it for a while to be sure it is in decent shape. Do not pump money into it until you are sure it is a good unit.

shift kit

i would like to get a trans go shift kit one question about it though do they come with vette servos or do i have to buy the servo extra??
