What is the plastic tube coming out the top of a 700R4?
This is probably a stupid question, but I'm doing an engine/tranny swap, and I took the tranny of the of the donor car, and I noticed there is about a 1/4" plastic tube sticking out of a hole in the top of the transmission case right near where the back of the torque converter would be. I've never done anything to a transmission before, let alone taken one out of the car, so I'm a first timer. What is this little tube? Also, I'm going to install a torque converter lockup switch in it. The guy I bought it from claims it is brand new. He was building the car, and never finished it. It looks like it has been repainted and everything, but is there anything I should look at on it as long as it is laying on the ground, before I put it back in the car? Also, is there a way to tell if it already has the heavy duty servo? Any other general advice/pointers?
Thanks,
Eric
