Ford 9'' Setup for 80's Monte....what can i do?

I can get a Ford 9'' rear end from a friend for $200 complete minus brakes. it was made to fit in a Monte carlo by the previous owner im not sure if the width is going to be about the same i dont know what the original car it was from,.

Is there an aftermarket suspension that i could run to use this rear end? i wouldnt mind using a 4 link but im not sure if the shocks and the springs will bolt in the same location. anyone have a clue? of what i could use?

I know it doesnt have the provision for the torque arm anyonw know if the spring locations are close on the monte's to the camaros? it was in a renegade circle track car.

Nothing about the G-body diff mounts will work in a third gen. You either need to buy a bolt in housing to use the third gen's torque arm, fabricate a new torque arm mount onto the 9" housing or completely change the rear suspension to ladder bars or a 4 link.

The spring mounts and shock mounts will not be in the same locations and it won't have the mounts for the panhard and LCA.

Providing the width is close enough and you want to use this diff, you need to cut off all the mounts and install third gen housing mounts.

Converting to 4 link or ladder bars means doing floor modifications.

I know it doesnt have a spot for the Panhard bar and LCA's but i was mainly concerned about shocks and springs, i can always weld on the brackets from a stock 7.5'' rear end. ill have to do some measuring, i have a 9 bolt on the ground outside so i know i could get things lined up fairly close. i thought lakewood or Competition engineering had a setup for a ladder bar type setup made for the 82-92 camaro, my brother put a 9'' in his trans am he used to own using the setup and it says he'll have to modify the exhaust. im searching for it right now and havnt had much luck.

I cut all the mounts off a 10 bolt and welded them onto my 9". I use universal ladder bars but had to section the floor for clearance. I kept the aftermarket panhard bar instead of installing a diagonal link. They do the same thing. With the ladder bars, I was able to eliminate the torque arm and LCA.

In a way i dont want to mess up the setup thats in my car too much, i launch my car at 3500-3800 and i got 1.69 60ft twice in a row then 1.72 when i broke something in the 9 bolt off the line. thats with a completely stock rear suspension and stock 1985 bushings and stock torque arm bushing ect. so i think im doing fairly good but i want to run this 9 bolt and later probably run a TKO tranny or auto. do you have any pics of your setup from underneath? my father had a 9'' in his monza 2+2 and he had to sandwich the floor between 2 plates to setup the setup. i wouldnt mind doing some modification. but i dont want to do too much. do you run a stock style exhaust setup? overaxel?

I see you dont recomend it for street use, i know iv read about how its a crude setup for cornering and such, but im not too much into going fast around corners but it is a street car..... should i try sticking with the stock setup, and weld on all the brackets needed and the moser torque arm mount?

Also with that 9'' it already has axels in it and it was ran in a renegade car. is there a possibilty there is already axels in it with the stock bolt pattern? i dont want to put too much money into this rear. if i have to get axels thats fine and c-clip eliminators. i think ill have to do some reading on moser's website.
