need info on a 82' 4spd torque arm mount
i just aquired a 82' Firebird with the LG4/4spd manual combo. unfortuatly the torque arm bracket is mangled and unable to hold the arm in place. any suggestions where i can locate a new braket/bushing? is the 4spd manual mount and bracket unique, or can i use one from a 5speed or auto car?

Any 4-spd manual or 3spd auto car will use the same torque arm and related parts. Something about the way the 'fins' point on the torque arm i think?

The 4 speed/TH200C uses a longer tq arm for the smaller trasnmissions. You cant bolt anything but a manual 4 or 200c tq arm to it without modifications.

what about the bracket though? the arm itself is fine, its just the bracket that bolts to the trans that needs replacing
are the brackets the same on the 4spd/5spd manual cars? could i use one from a 700R4 or one of the aftermarket ones for the TH350 swaps?
