For a T-5, or any similar trans, how much larger is the bellhousing register bore compared to the front bearing retainer? Is the dia. .002" larger? .003" larger then the retainer? IOW, if the retainer was 4.850", the bellhousing register bore would be, say 4.852", to fit on the retainer.

I know its sort of an odd question, but I cant afford to loose any more transmissions to the tolerance monster.
