pilot bearing question

I have a 89 firebird 2.8L and the pilot bearing fits inside the rear of the crankshaft loose enough it can be pulled out easily, the hole for the bearing has been slightly enlarged by the previous bearing being shattered due to a bad transmission My question; is there any availability to an oversize bearing or am i screwed and need to replace the crankshaft? or can i just install the bearing and be OK. I noly had the money budget for replaceing the trans and clutch and all my money is pretty much spent.please help me with this problem any help on this problem would be great.
