Difference in color for accumulator springs?

Engine: 2.8L V6 MPFI
Transmission: Beat to heck 700R4
Difference in color for accumulator springs?

For instance, this broken spring that came from behind the 1-2 piston in the accumulator is green. I see different color replacements. Anyone know the difference? Any reason to change the color?

Different colors represent different tensions. Green is stiff. White is stiffest.
