Rebuild kit shopping - Yikes this is confusing.

This is for my 89 2.8L grocery getter. Daily driver, nothing fancy, only mods are a built-by-me K&N cone type cold air intake (if you call into the area under the headlights CAI), throttle body bypass, removed cat, autozone "hy-flow" muffler. So its really nothing but stock LOL.

I'm rebuilding an 87 donor V6 tranny to replace my stock which is coming up on 235k. (the last 20k of which has what I've come to think is a failed 3/4 clutch pack - as it doesn't go in OD or D in the morning, only 1 or 2, D and OD work OK when its warm and at speed.) When I get the newly rebuilt 87 tranny installed I'll probably go ahead and do the stock one too.

I'm looking for durability here. I'd like to go another 100k at least, motor is still very strong and I feel confident it can make it that far.

There are so many different kits and options to choose from. Such as this guy on Ebay's kit I'm thinking of going with as a starting point. I don't think I need too much more than this do I?

TRANSTEC OVER-HAUL KIT (PAPER, RUBBER, RINGS AND HARD SEALS) WITH A FIBER PAN GASKET
(5) LOW/REVERSE BORG-WARNER OR RAYBESTOS LINED FRICTION PLATES
(5) FORWARD BORG-WARNER OR RAYBESTOS LINED FRICTION PLATES
(2) OVER-RUN BORG-WARNER OR RAYBESTOS LINED FRICTION PLATES
(4) REVERSE INPUT BORG-WARNER OR RAYBESTOS LINED FRICTION PLATES
(6) 3-4 (OVERDRIVE) BORG-WARNER OR RAYBESTOS LINED FRICTION PLATES
SPX FILTRAN OR ALLOMATIC FILTER
ALTO or RAYBESTOS PRO-SERIES HIGH-ENERGY KEVLAR CARBON LINED BAND
CLEVITE "BABBIT" PUMP BUSHING
CLEVITE CASE BUSHING
CLEVITE TAIL HOUSING BUSHING.

Looks like I'll need to find a set of steels to go along with the clutches, also ATSG book keeps talking about "solid teflon seals" How important is that vs. the scarf cut seals?

I know I'll want more complete bushing kit and a set of thrust washers and I think the vette servo kit- .500 boost valve - pressure reg valve - intermediate valve is something I'd like to put in just for giggles.

13 vane pump? Seems like overkill for my engine?

One thing that does need replacement for sure is the 1-2 accumulator spring (its broken), I think I'd like to replace both of them and both accumulator pistons just for pete's sake. Any use in the "pinless" larger types I see?

Anything I'm missing here?

You do not need a 13 vane pump. I would install a new seperator plate and the correct color accumulator spings, using new accumulator pistons. The tend to wear the center hole out.
