Fourth gen pedals in a third gen?

I am just getting ready to do the T-56 swap into my 91 bird, which was an auto. I am getting the pedals, linkages, slave and master cylinder in the mail soon. My question is how do I go about mounting the pedals? Do I take out the entire existing set of pedals and scap them? What modifications need to be made to get the fourth gen pedals to fit. Does anyone have any pics? That would be really helpful. This is my first time doing this so any help is appreciated.

Pull out the stock pedals and to the left of the steering column there's padding on the firewall with perforated cutouts for the master cylinder mount. Remove the cutouts and trace them onto the firewall and cut the holes. The nuts that hold the pedals thread onto the studs of the brake booster. While you've got the pedals out, slide the booster and master cylinder away from the firewall so you've got room when it comes to mounting the master cylinder. Not sure if there is a difference with the 4th gen pedals.

That's pretty much 100% accurate but there are two extra steps for the 4th gen pedals. First is that you have to widen the holes that the studs from the brake booster go through. After that you have to cut off the gas pedal (all 3 pedals are one assembly in 4th gen cars). Other than that it should be completely the same.

If I remember correctly, I used all three pedals from the 4th gen when I was doing my swap. I am pretty sure I used all 3 since we pulled out my pedals and put them into my brothers 96 Trans Am when we put my 6 speed in his car temporarily while he was getting his auto rebuilt (his car was originally a 6 speed car so swapping my T56 into his car was easy).
