Which one?

I got a 350 ho and a 5 speed tranny(how can i tell if its a t5 or not, what do i look for) and i want to swap it for a auto. What should i do turbo 350 or turbo 400. The easyest, cheapest, best performing tranny(i noe thats alot to ask for).

The T5 was the only 5 speed available.

The TH350 is the easiest, cheapest swap but not the best performing tranny. It just depends on what kind of performance you're looking for.

So what tranny should i be looking for. I dont want to really spend much. Some guys are telling me to just keep the t5 but it might be a pain in the nyc streets. The most horse i might have on the car(and this is a long shot) is 380 but regardless anything im playin with 400lbs of torque and up. What would u guys do.

a turbo 350 will handle that easily if built right and are easily found. you will need the b&m kit for the ta mount. iirc if you use a long tailshaft the driveshaft will fit.

You'll need a console plate, shifter, shift cable, flexplate, torque converter, kickdown cable, and a few other things here and there.
