hydraulic to mechanical linkage

i have a retro fit t56 in my car that uses the stock hydraulic set up. i hate the way the pedal feels. i wanted to know if i could swap it to a mechanical set-up. i have a mcloud clutch in the car now and the pedel is too too soft. the car shifts fine and its a brand new clutch in it. i also have blown the slave clyinder twice on the car. i was wondering if it has anything to do with heat distorting the plastic.

Could be the heat. Also using the wrong type of brake fluid can cause it too. Using synthetic or silicone fluid can cause the seals to soften & blow out. Use standard DOT 3 only. Mechanical linkages have there headaches too. Bending, cracking, binding & breaking are all common problems with mechanical linkage.

Have you completely bled the circuit? The number one cause of failure in hydraulic clutches is dirty fluid, a good way to fix this is to use a pressure bleeder, and pump a metered amount of fluid through the circuit until you are sure that it has been completely flushed.

residual dirt in the lines could cause all the problems you described, especially blowing all those slave cylinders. Just my

i know its not dirt or any other debris since i installed the cyliner and added fluid from a new sealed can of dot3. maybe i am not bleeding it the right way since my pedal is so soft.
