what differential for a 350 crate?

i have a 350 in my 86 Iroc. would a borg warner 9 bolt be enough to handle approx 300hp? i blew the stock one, so the one im looking at now is a borg warner 3.27:1 9 bolt for $500. good match? let me know.

It should easily. Miles has one on his BBC. Mine had one stock. I plan on using it on my new 383.

More drivetrain problems

also my tranny is making whining noises now whenever i put it into gear, especially if im still rolling. my friend said it was the meshing in there but im still not sure. it only happens for 1st and 2nd gears. It started happening after i grinded 1st because it didnt go all the way into gear. this is quite audible and even more annoying!!!

any ideas on what this might be?

I am about to buy the Borg Warner 9-bolt i was talking about earlier. Whats the difference between one and a normal differential? My Haynes service manual says u need special tools to service them. Are they stronger than the 10-bolts that came stock with the third gen camaros?
