starts in second?
i just replaced the governor gear on my 700r4 becuase it wasnt shifting at all. this fixed the shifting problem ,but i think it has been starting in second for awhile, even before the governor went. it stutters alot at low rpms, and i can downshift it manually into first, but i believe it is starting in second. any ideas on what could cause this?

Your transmission cable is set wrong? I'm not sure. If you can manually shift it into first, and first works fine, then I'd look at the cable play first, before ripping into the transmission.
