I have the T56 and was wondering if it's possible to have a high speed vibration from something in there? I know it's not the driveshaft because when I'm going down the highway I can feel the vibration (even more so now that I have the subframes and poly bushings all over), but if I push the clutch in the vibration stops. I don't hear any "noise" from the tranny though. Could it be from the engine since that is also tied to RPM...press clutch, rpms go down?

Since I have installed a new Spohn adjustable torque arm, I adjusted my pinion angle last night although it wasn't really for off.

The vibration is really bad in 5th & 6th when I get on the gas hard. The shifter shakes plenty. When I grab a hold of it, my whole arms shakes big time.

Any ideas?

 

Still sounds like it could very well be the driveshaft.

Im also thinking imbalanced flywheel but it would have to do it all the time at higher RPMs not just in 5&6th.

 

It does it in the other gears also, just really bad in 5th & 6th.
