Car: 82 firebird trans am, and an 88 firebird formula

Engine: 2 305 v8s

Transmission: munci m 21, and a 5 speed

need to know about a transmission change over

Ive got a 1988 firebird formula 305 v8, and i broke the reverse in my transmission. I have a friend that has a 1996 3.4 liter camaro that he just took the engine out and said i can have the tranny FREE, the problem is i dont think i can use it but i figgured id ask. if someone knows what kind of transmission is in a 96 v6 camaro lemme know. Or if someone nows for sure if it'll work because i have to drive like a long way to pick it up. lemme know

or can someone just tell me what transmission from a 96 is so ill know if its the same as mine.

Axle/Gears: 9" 3.00, 9" 3.25

the v-6 trans wont work different bolt pattern. i think it is a 4l60e. sorry just seen it a manual trans not sure then if eill work so disregaurd my post sorry.
