I have a simple question. Will a 350 turbo tranny mate with my 2.8 V6 or am I just gonna waste my time and money

Not easily.
V6= 60*
V8= 90*
Different bellhousing bolt pattern. If you had a 90* V6 you would be cool, you can get an adapter to do the swap but then it puts your mounts out of wack.
