cluster gear change

I am working on rebuilding my T5 WC. The cluster gear that is in it has 053 stamped on it, and I was wondering if I can use a cluster gear that has 070 stamped on it. I was on Hanlon's web site and they do not have a 053 shaft but the 070 has the same gears on it. From what I can see they seem to be an upgraded higher alloy version for the Ford Mustang.

i'm pretty sure you can't. gear diameters and tooth angles are different.

I asked Hanlonmotorsports and they said that it works perfectly in case anyone else was interested.
