700r to tb350
700r to tb350
i changing from a 700r to a 350 and i know i would need to get a tb350 torque arm conversion bracket but my question it that its a 89 firebird and i think it has a eletric speedo and the 350 is cable. is there there a way to make the speedo work or do i have to change the speedo to a cable drive one thanks
Have you checked to make sure its an electric speedo? Only the speed density TPI cars (usually 90-92) came with the VSS speedo, an 89 should be MAF TPI and thus a cable speedo. You can verify by either looking at the tailshaft of the current transmission, or cheking behind the guage cluster to see if there is a cable going in.
For info on the TH350 conversion do a search.

i am also thinking of putting a th350 in my 89 gta , when i took my tranny out there was only one cable, the kickdown, and 2 electric connections. i also would like to know if there will be a speedo prob.
