need help with my 700r4

need help with my 700r4

my ta came with 305 tpi i put a carbureted 355 the main harness is not in the car is getting it to shift by itself easy as pluging in the harness or can i get by just useing the 5 wires that go to the trans. where do i get power from.

The wiring not plugged in will cause you to have no lock up. The poor shifting is likely a throttle valve cable geometry or adjustment issue.

TV cable and the centifiugal governor controls the 700R4's shift points.


Like stated above the wire harness only controls lockup. without it hooked up the TC will be building extra heat and an aftermarket cooler is recommended. Also you will loose 1/2mpg...
