Learn by doing....Info that may help. TH350 No reverse
Brand new well-built TH350 install. Starter gear hitting flexplate. No big deal. Fixed. Adjusting kick-down cable.pulled it out @ carb. Won't retract. Stuck. Now, no reverse. WTF????????????????? Kick-down and reverse use the same clutch pack. So when the kick-down is engaged, you will lose reverse ONLY.
