Slight tranny question no biggie

I got a rebuild on my transmission about 5 months ago and so far the car has been holding up alot better than it used to.

I have alot firmer shifts and overall better acceleration power, the warranty I am covered for about 2 years.

Anyway, the one slight thing that I am not really worried about but could be a problem is that whenever I am driving and the car gets up to temps, I put my hand on the plastic transmission piece (where it says 1,2,D,OD) and it gets hot. I understand heat is probably the worst thing that can attract to a transmission and I honestly don't remember my transmission being this hot before.

I don't want to see it as a big issue but should I just get a tranny cooler? I am afraid that if I do get a tranny cooler would it void my warranty and what not? Within the next couple of months I am gonna start building my transmission, so that it can better handle the power I am going to make out of the 305.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Take off that cover plate and look up under there, see if there's an extra holes in the floor under the console. Maybe a torn boot or something.
