do I need new spindles?

I have a lot of play when move my front brake rotors. Meaning the hub is loose. I have retorqued the bearings. And none of the steering components are moving. Its in the hub. The hub is a year old and so are the bearings. What are the possibilities that it could be the spindle. What are the spindles supposed to measure at with a mic? Thanks.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere

Zero.

The spindle is just a chunk of metal. There's nothing about it to move or get loose.

What do you mean, "torqued your bearings"? How did you do it?

When you say the rotor moves, what else moves? Which direction(s) can it move?
