T5 Transmission stuck in clutch disc!
i have the whole 5.7L tpi engine out of the car and i put a new flywheel on it and new clutch kit (pressure plate, disc, throw out bearing, pilot bushing) disc is 26x10.4x1 1/8 so it is the correct disc. bellhousing on, im 100% sure that the disc is in proper alignment in the center of the flywheel/pressureplate. im trying to put it on the engine and it just wont go any further that the disc i think, from the pictures i have hear it looks like it hasn't even gotten to the pilot bushing, maybe half way through the disc. and it wont go any further, and also i cant get it to come back out to clean up the teeth on the input shaft, i think thats why it wont go anymore. so any tricks to get this back out? i have tried alot of things, pry bar, 2x4 piece of wood, pulling, twisting, rocking up&down, left&right. nothing seems to make it budge. dont see how it can get stuck like this, when all i did was put it in there just a little bit.

um that transmission looks like it's in there crooked, try to release the disc with the clutch fork then get it out, be careful not to bend the disc make put the tranny in gear and you can turn the output shaft to ease installation

it looks like its in there crooked, but its just the way it was sitting at the time i took the picture. it has alot of play in it moving it around. i have did this several times before and its never been this hard. i put the tranny in gear, and i can turn the whole motor over by turning the tailshaft. so obviously its already somewhat in the clutch disc. im not trying to get it in, im trying to get it out so i can check the input spline for anything wrong with it thats making it hard to go in, i dont want to force it in and break something. by pushing the clutch in would only help if it were stuck on the throw out bearing and it moves fine on the input shaft.
