Transmission improvement question
Ok so my friend just paid $2000 to rebuild his transmission, happened a week after he bought it, he's not a very good shopper
. Anyway, this got to thinking more about my transmission. Is there any way to improve the condition of my transmission other that like not banging the gears and like installing a tranny fan, I'm not gonna be driving at speeds to make the oil go too hot anyway. Oh and I do perform regular maintenance like oil checks and flushes and all that regularly.Oh and I already have a shortshifter in it, I was just wondering if there was anything else I can do.

Car: 1992 Camaro RS - not real slow anymore...
Engine: SPDC 360 MAF EFI /w a Holley Stealth Ram
Transmission: T5 untill it blows up from to much torque
Axle/Gears: Ford 9" /w auburn pro & 3.89's
If you are talking about the t5 in your profile, then no. There was one place (can't remember the name) that would beef it up, but for less money, a t56 from an early style 4th gen would be cheaper and stronger.
