dead 700r4??

ok well i just got my heads back on and my new longtubes too and i took it out for a testdrive drove mabey 15miles and yes it was very loud but on my way off the interstate i pulled into a local McDs to talk to some friends and show off my new sound and when i went to leave it felt and sounded like someone who couldnt drive a clutch!!!! so i drove through the foodlion parking lot next door and it seemed fine and i even stomped it one time from a 2-3mph roll and i got the rear end to come around a lil too but then again i went to pull out onto the main road and bam slippage like crazy. well i got it home very carefully and as quiet as posible and i had to go up a hill to get to my house so once i passed my driveway i just shut her off and coasted into the driveway backwards and when i got out there was a line of tranny fluid all the way up the road and back to the car!!!! well i took my friend home with the honda and we stoped back buy the mcds and where i was parked in the T/A there was a puddle of tranny fluid about 3ft in diameter! . so my question is did i just pop a line off or did i kill the tranny??? im gonna try and get a look tomarrow or more than likely saturday since its my day off. well any help and or advice would greatly be apreciated!! oh and its the original tranny with about 219,xxx miles on it and this is the first time ive ever had any probs with it. i do quess a rebuild is needed anyway

First find where the leak is coming from, and fix that immediately. Fill it up with fluid, cycle through the gears (including reverse) a couple of times and take her for a spin. That's the only real way to find out. Hopefully you didn't break anything while you were low on fluid.
