sticking clutch
sticking clutch
my 82 camaro v8 all of a sudden when I push the clutch pedal in, it sometimes sticks in the down position. I have to whack it a few times with my foot to free it up. The gears shift fine. Is there an adjustment or grease that needs to be added. Just started doing this.
Any thoughts would be great...
thanks

yes, there should be a grease point. If you are looking under the car, make sure the return spring is connected there, and then where the clutch rod goes, towards the front of the car, up above a bit, there should be a tube, with a grease nipple on it. Hard to explain, but try greasing that.
Thanks Sonix. I greased it and that was the problem! works great now....
Is there a grease or something I need to change or check within the manual transmission itself? If so, where do you check it?
Thanks
