Transmission: 700R4 - Stage 3 Fixed Pressure
Axle/Gears: GM 3.08 POSI
can gm's alison transmission fit in a thirdgen

im just curious if it can. ive seen the gear ratios for this tranny and they are bitchin.

Not unless you cut out the floor for it to fit. It's a huge, heavy tranny.

to large w/o drastic cutting/loss of footwells, and they also take more power to pull. -Why, when you can upgrade a 700R to take more or just build a 4L80?

Those are truck gears. Very low first gear to get 5000+ pounds moving. 1:1 final drive and one OD gear.

A 4L80E would be a better choice and it's not exactly a lightweight tranny either but it would fit better. A beefed up 200-4R could do the trick also.
