wat keeps the clutch pedal staying up, not on the floor. is it the master cylender or is there a clutch spring or somthing?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
The clutch itself does that. It pushes the pedal back up.

The clutch has a huge Belleville washer in it (basically a dome-shaped spring), that applies it. Pushing the pedal acts against the spring and releases the clutch disc. SO I guess you could say, it's a spring, inside the clutch.
