My servo popped out - best technique to put the retainer back on?
After installing my TransGo kit and driving the car around, shift points were all over the map and lots of ATF was lost I finally figured out what might've caused all this.
First of all, the brand new TV cable I got from the GM dealer is shorter that the one I had on the car (back to the old one now), second my servo cover popped out, the O-Ring is not good anymore.
I guess the servo cover came out because I didn't seat the wire retainer in its groove properly. When I put it in, it was a pain in the back and I thought it was all the way in, obviously I was wrong.
What is the best technique to put the stupid retainer back in properly?
The tranny is in the car and when I did it, I stuck a screwdriver between the cover and the floor pan to push the servo in and then seated the retainer.
Is there a special/easier way to to this?
Thanks.
