Two part question TCC

Alright ive looked all over and i cant seem to find just the right answer so ill post it here bear with me guys.

I recently swaped out a 305tbi for a 350carb. I accually did al this about march. Car ran fine, but now im shifting at very high RMP and it wouldnt go into OD at all. I konw about the lock up kits they have but it ran fine before.
My question is there something that could clog inside the transmission that would cause this to happen. I have pullsed the pan, the fluid was dark, but did not smell burnt, and there was no metal in the fluid, i mean aside from the dark grey $hi_.
Is there a temorary way to wire it up so that it shifts right, how would i run the lock out switch that every one is talking about, do i runit to ground or 12v.
Just a quick qestion how do you adjust the TV cable i was moving it around in my cable bracket, ive read people can do it by pushing something and sliding something else, im totally in the dark on this.
Thanks for the help gentelmen, im hopeing that i can get the answers so i can start driving my car again, i need it running by OCT.

P.S. can the transmission geting to hot make fluid come out past the front seal, i had fluid coming off the back side (tward the Trans) of the TC or do i need to drop it and replace it

There is a very good web site for the 700R4. Just google 700R4 and you can find it. It will give you the entire wiring harness changes that need to be made to control your transmission without the computer. It also gives you the info on adjusting your TV cable. Good luck.
