left rear wheel bearing,, making whining noise?

while checking out the rear end up in the air on my 91 r/s 3.1 it appears i need a new left rear wheel bearing .,could this be the anwser to my whining back there? and explain why when im rolling and barly touch the trhottle it whines and when i lift up on it it stops's for so long i thought it was the rear end going out but apperently its the wheel bearing., i could here the whining coming from behinde that tire,. and the more gas my girl gave it it got louder and started to shake a lil like vibrate.,.,.,,.also i notice when she applys the brake the right stops fine while the other keeps going also accompanied with the noise.,,.So with all this said what do all of you think??

if you know you need a axle bearing why not replace it and see if the noise goes away?

ok since you don't know what it is why don't you start inspecting parts, like bearings
