Can't decide which cooler to get
I'm taking the boyfriends 700R4 and figured it'd be nice to get a tranny cooler and Transgo shift kit while we're at it. It seems this question has come up several times before but I can't find an answer: which style is best? Summit has heat sink, tube and fin, and plate style coolers from at least 10 different companies. I've hear Perma-Cool and B&M make good coolers, but what other companies are good and what's the best style to go with?
All the brands are made virtually the same, there is no "best". It is just a matter of opinion.
As for style, get the biggest one possible that will fit of this style.

If you can find one that is 3/4" thick, that will help with cooling. 1/2" does just fine, though. 1-1/2" is even better, if there is room. I have a 21,000gvw, and it does an awesome job.

Why not save a few buck and check out the local junk yard? Ford Explorers have a beautiful tranny cooler on them and I know I said the F word but if you don't tell anyone it's from an Explorer they'll just think you have one hell of tranny cooler.
