3.42 gear swap

I'm looking to swap my stock92 RS Heritage edition 2.73 gears in favor of the 3.42's that come on the Z-28. I'm wondering if I have to change out the carrier as well. Many Thanks!

you can buy a gear set to fit your carrier, you can use a spacer, you can buy a new carrier. it all depends on what you want and what you have.

Something to think about, my buddy on this board swaped his entire rearend. He got one from the local junkyard. He's got a TON of power and just purhcased a ford 9 inch. He gave me his 323 posi rearend. you can get a rearend in the junk yard with the gears you want for around 200$, but you have to shop around
