One more Pro 5.0 question...

How will it look with the OEM shift boot and an MBA **** with no tail? I ordered the shifter and a nice MBA red anodized ball with a bowtie on it. Now, I noticed in a GMHTP issue I just read that when they put a Pro 5.0 in a 4th gen, you could still see a little bit of the threading, as it states that Pro 5.0 leaves some extra threading in case you cut the shift lever. Seeing threads is not a big deal (I don't like the look of the **** with the tail, anyway).

My issue is, how well will the boot stay up? I know the OEM lever has a thing on it to keep the boot from slouching down on the lever. Can anyone with a Pro 5.0 give me an insight on this? I can't wait to shift my car after my uncle installs the shifter
