Some auto cars have a starter that won't fit in the T-5 bell housing. The thing is, after a few turn-in-the-core starter swaps, you have no way of knowing which starter you've got. They both fit and work the same, except that the nose of the T-5 one is made smaller. I can't imagine why they did that, since the T-5 one will work perfect in an auto car, and costs no more to make. I'd think they would have made them all the same but what do I know.

I'd guess, just as a guess, that you have about 30-40% odds that the one you have will work. Just trial-fit it on your motor as soon as you get the BH on and see if you get lucky.
