700R4 street/strip shifter

What aftermarket shifter is the most popular for a street/strip car?

I'd be interested in a unit that a can just stick in 'D' and drive it, or, do the shifting in manual mode at the drag strip.

I really like my B&M MegaShifter 1982-92 Camaro & 1982-92 Firebird TH400/350/200 & 700-R4, it's a ratchet shifter too.

Its funny you came up with that, because I went onto Thunder Racing right after I posted. The only shifter they show for our cars in the B&M Megashifter.

How was the install?

The install was not that difficult, and it took me bout an hour to complete. Just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong, I've had mine about a year or so now with zero problems.

hey i've seen the B&M Megashifter before but i dont car for the look of it, i have found one on summit racing that would be cool for street and strip, but it states it would fit into an 83-92 camero with a 700r4, well i have a 92 fire bird with a 700r4. Would the swap work or not? heres the link:

dual gate hurst is a great shifter. I may be swapping to turbo 400 tranny soon and won't be able to use it.
