??? about flywheel ? flexplate bolts
Would the bolts from a flexplate be the same as those used for a flywheel? In length, I mean. I am doing a auto to man trans swap in my k5 blazer, and with the flywheel being thicker than the original flexplate, I might need longer bolts. The difference in thickness is only maybe 1/4", but this is somththing that has to be right.

Gotta love the big box parts house. Their website only lists flywheel bolts, but also calls a flexplate a flywheel and the bolts are listed for auto or manual. I will check a little deeper and figure out the length difference.

Manuals from used P/N 839756 or 14088645, no dimensions listed in the catalog. Automatics used 14088764, 7/16-20x.7

The ARP catalog shows 100-2801 for the flywheel, 7/16-20x1, and 100-2901 for the flexplate, 7/16-20x0.68. Either one is about $8 at Summit.

I might go that route, good excuse to order some other stuff from summit anyway. Thanks
