i'm having issues with my 700r4 shifting. at part throttle it doesn't want to shift until the rpm's get up to redline. at WOT it shifts at the right points. the tv cable is adjusted properly. the governor gear looks just like new. the fluid is at the correct level. any suggestions.

 

this out of your 84 Trans Am? u may need to have your actual throttle valve at the tranny adjusted or you could need a rebuild. SOundsl ike your valve bodys got some miles.

 

yes it's the original tranny. the car only has 82K miles on it. the car has been sitting in storage for 5 years or more.
