Engine: 350

Transmission: 700r4

Axle/Gears: 2.77

elec. connector next to a/t shifter?

I am in the middle of swapping a auto in a ex manual car. what is the 5 or six pin electrical connector just right of the auto shifter for? I am missing something important? thanks for any help
