allright check it out. im out school putting it in and its shimed up blah blah and such but when i put the caps back on its wont spin! at first it seemed the carrier was wubbing against the pinnion so we took a couple shims off the pinnion. but still it wont budge. im out of school right now and im gunna start off tomorrow morning again so if anyone has any ideas or questions to ask me so they can get a better idea it will be greatly apprecated

i forgot to add we got it to the piont it would spin freely and then just stop also when it was like this the back lash on it was preaty bad

from the random way you install and remove shims i'd find someone to do it for you. set the pinion depth to spec, set pinion preload, set back lash and if it makes you feel better check the contact pattern. if you do all that it'll work. i might be giving too much credit thinking you have the correct series carrier and gear set. do you? if you start over buy a new nut and crush sleeve, they're not reusable.
