Stock limited slip

I've got a 91 rs with a the stock limited slip differential and 2.73 gears. I was just wondering if this differential is as good as an aftermarket and would I have any traction after adding 3.73's?

RS, what motor?
It's not as good as the aftermarket ones you can get, but it's free right Aftermarket you're looking at $400 +.
You'll have really great take off with 3.73's, and assuming you have a mostly stock motor, you shouldn't have a lot of traction issues. You can solve those with tire/suspension upgrades as well.

Just make sure to buy a set of 3.73's that are made to fit a 2 series carrier if you plan on keeping the stock posi unit.
