Gear Sets... Are S-10 sets any weaker?
Simply question, guy locally has a set from his S-10, 3.42 with no excessive wear, and was daily driven no towing...
are they any bit weaker then the original camaro sets?

Yup; identical in every way.
Their "posi" carriers are a different story however.

the gears are identical, and if the ratios are the same, its the same part in both 3rdgens and s10s...
however, the higher (numericaly) you go on the ratio, the weaker the gear set will be, simply because of size.
3.42s are decent (for a 10bolt)... 3.73s are only slightly weaker.. but 4.10/4.11s break very easily.
