hi, on my 91 bird v-8 my transmission crossmember is bent, so i am looking to get a new one, but my question is, Would a crossmember off of a v-6 work on my v-8 car? Thanks

As long as the V6 car is also a 700r4, the crossmember should be the same. You have to watch out for some of the manual trans V6 crossmembers because they use a screwy donut shaped mount instead of the standard style mount.

Wow, that was some interesting reading James. I guess it really is a toss-up on which crossmember you'll find on any of them. My 89 V8 700r4 car has the one piece.

thanks guys, today i was able to get on off of a v-6 bird. the car was so rotted i just about pulled it off the car.
