Is this Ford 9 inch?

Hi guys!

Today I found an old Ford van, who could have a 9 inch rear end and I made some photos. Now I'm not sure is this realy 9 inch or not.

Not a 9". Looks like an 8". Actually, I don't even think it's an 8". They don't come with square axle tubes.

How early are you talking on the Toyota? My '83 has round axle tubes and the center chunk is different.

possibly 8.8 inch, it could be a 9 inch with square axle tubes.

Who knows exactly what it is but it isn't a Ford diff as we know it. It might be some European Ford configuration.

? An 8.8 is a cast housing, non-removable center(built like our 10 bolts) and a 9" has a very different center section.

I was thinking pre 1980.

- anyhow, the question has been answered.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
That looks a little like one of those old Falcon vans from the early-mid 60s. The minivans of their day.

Probably not even an 8".

Definitely garbage. By the size of the hole in the housing, where the chunk bolts into it, I doubt a ring gear much bigger than 7" would even fit into it.
