My car stalls out on reverse sometimes, also it can be very jumpy sometimes when shifting from Park To Drive does this need to replaced, if it does, what does it cost (about/your experience).

 

i had a camaro one time when i put it in drive it would want to jump forward i would have to hold the brake and it would bark the tires. Never had a problem driving it id drive it until it breaks if it ever does.

 

Does it make a "clunk" noise when shifting into drive or reverse? Maybe bad U-Joints on driveshaft.

i doubt the u-joints causing it to jump or stall. Like i said the one i had did something like that it had over 240,000 miles before the retard i sold it to put straight water in the radiator after replacing the pump. Block busted he never finished payin me i sold it for 500 he gave me 400 never gave the rest in the time of the contract i had him sign. I repossed it traded to a buddy for a 89 bird in great condition and runs just no title using it for parts anyway.

 

Okay so when put in to reverse from park the car sinks down and when put in to drive from park the car jumps forward my neighbor said its not that bad, but when i was backing out of the driveway today the car stalled in reverse and the service engine light came on thanks for your help!
