a 4l60e is a 700r4 with electronic control. The internals are the same, so strengths and weaknesses and available parts are the same.

what troubles me with the idea is the whole "electric" thing i have no clue about the valve body. and what suprises may be inside. i would like to see a few (that should read a lot) of pictures, you know ones with circles and arrows and a paragraph describing each. thats not to much to ask. hehehehehe.

The ATSG manuals are also good. They contain alot of GM reprint photo's and text.

the atsg books would most likely show the weak points of the 4l60e valve body. there are a couple but don't remember what they are off-hand.
