Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
No 11" stuff will fit in any stock bell housing that will fit the rest of the stock stuff in one of these cars.

Has to be a 12.8" 153-tooth flywheel and a 10½" or 10.4" (whatever you want to call that) clutch. The 11" clutch won't fit on that size flywheel. The 14" 168-tooth and 11" stuff won't work.

I don't recognize that BH number.

Never mind the pun, but that casting# doesn't "ring a bell" with me either. Lol. The easiest way to tell a stock f-body V8 T5 bellhousing is the fact that the trans mounts up tilted towards the driver's side. If it's a bellhousing with trans mounting "straight up", you've got the wrong one for your application.

Re: HELP!!! T-5 Bellhousing questions??

Anyone use a lakewood bellhousing to get an 11" clutch to work?

Like LAK-15030 with a hydraulic TOB ?

Any bellhousing that you can use with an old school 4 speed, will work with the T5. I used a 60s-70s bellhousing and a 60s-70s style centerforce dual frction clutch with my T5, in order to use it in my 2nd gen. The input shaft and throwout bearing collar is exactly the same as a 4 speed, w/ the exception of being 26 spline. Luckily the M22 and I think Borg Super T10 were also 26 spline, so I had a good selection of clutches available. I stuck w/ a 10.5 clutch because with a high quality clutch and PP, I didn't see any need for the 11".

When i had a thirdgen, I used to have problems with the clutches slipping. I have a brand new 11" flywheel on the shelf, so I was thinking of using an 11" clutch. The vette had a bell housing for the 4+3 that was basicly an alum muncie bell housing, which I'm told will fit an 11" clutch (168 tooth) flywheel,
though some folks have suggested buying a lakewood flywheel.
